The RMI, merSETA, Barloworld Automotive, Bidvest Automotive and the Imperial Training academy have collaborated financially to develop and make the CDX automotive motor guides available to the South African public. The guide is designed and made compatible for automotive motor and diesel mechanic apprenticeship training through the Competency Based Modular Training (CBMT) training system. However, these guides contain information about automotive vehicle components, structures and repair processes and can therefore be used for an array of other artisan development models and systems, or anybody else with a passion, desire and inclination to know about motor vehicles or work on cars.
The content of the Technica CDX guides is the property of Jones and Bartlettand is benchmarked on international standards and technology. The producers (Jones and Bartlett) will update the content on a regular basis and ensure that the guides are always compatible to modern international technologies, in a South African context. These “state of the art” Technica CDX guides replaces previous CBMT apprentices training content and as mentioned is fully compatible to the CBMT training curriculum.
The Technica CDX light guide (for motor mechanics) is also available on fully aligned e-learning interactive online learning system which can be used to stimulate and enhance learning. The online light learning system is also available through RMI.
