The fourth South African Automotive Week (SAAW) will take place from 13-17 October 2014 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.
The SAAW will again include an international tradeshow, matchmaking programme, site tours, conferences and gala awards dinner. It will be hosted by the Gauteng Province and Automotive Industry Development Centre, and will again receive active endorsement from the RMI, NAACAM, NAAMSA and the South African government.
Over 300 exhibitors and 7 500 trade visitors are expected to participate in a region considered to be Africa’s automotive intellectual capital. Project Director Andrew Binning says the event has attracted significant international interest and is part of the Gauteng Provincial Government’s plan to drive investment and trade in the sector.
“We are excited to be taking SAAW to Gauteng for the first time, thanks to the host partnership of the AIDC and Gauteng Province. While the initiative remains inclusive and international in focus, both SAAW and the Gauteng economy is expected to benefit significantly,’’ he said.
