With a history going back 91 years serving the motor industry, Automobil has arrived at a turning point.
This magazine’s publishing contract has been awarded to long-established and respected RamsayMedia, which won the tender bid following a successful pitch that highlighted the global reach and increased consumer awareness the Automobil would gain as a result of the multi-platform offering that the company can bring to the partnership.
The RMI is very pleased to be working with a company with such a long and solid history in the print and digital media. For the first time we are entering into a profit-sharing agreement that will strengthen and benefit the organisation. In addition, RamsayMedia’s links with consumers will help us increase public awareness of RMI and educate people on best practices.
It is not only with this magazine that the RMI will liaise, inform, educate, survey and even entertain our ever-growing and more demanding membership. RamsayMedia’s Custom Publishing division also offers us new and revitalised websites for both the RMI (www.rmi.org.za) and Automobil (see www.automobil.co.za) and a digital version of Automobil enriched with picture galleries and video clips that you, your staff, colleagues, friends and families can access online at any time.
This multi-platform approach also offers numerous advertising opportunities. Together, we will be able to deliver a highly cost-effective communication forum that will connect with all 14 of the RMI’s associations.
A side benefit of this new partnership is that there will be a monthly RMI presence in CAR, Southern Africa’s best selling motoring magazine.
I am confident the decision to award Ramsay Media Custom Publishing the Automobil contract will bring positive results. We are very excited at this new partnership, which aims to take the RMI’s policies and influence in the automotive retail industry to a new level.
