As South Africa continues to experience power shortages and periodic outages, we want to be sure you are aware that TransUnion is well prepared to continue to provide the data and services your business needs to sustain your operations.
TransUnion’s data is deployed in two tier-4 data centres, each with battery and diesel generator power back-up systems. These systems are regularly tested to ensure their ability to sustain full operations in the face of any short-term power outage. With diesel fuel reserves and redundant re-supply agreements, the centres have the ability to run off self-generated power for weeks. Similarly, our contracted provider has access to alternative networks should power interruptions disrupt the ability of the primary network to get the data you need to your facilities.
In addition, we are adding to our existing power back-up systems for the offices that house our business operations in South Africa. While these facilities are separate from our data centres and do not affect data storage or processing, the added power systems will help ensure our customer services and operational teams continue to be able to assist you.
If you have any questions or would like additional information about TransUnion’s ability to provide data and services during this power crisis, please contact your Key Account Manager, alternatively contact:
