October in South Africa is Transport Month, where all matters related to transport are placed into focus – in particular, road safety. MasterDrive in partnership with Castrol and Santam Heavy Haulage, are hosting their annual Transport Month event for the seventh year. We are again focusing on an important issue affecting road safety, particularly as we head into the Festive Season.
The theme of the event is ‘Corporate accountability: driving safety in fleets.’ There will be a panel discussion entitled ‘Treading the influence,’ featuring leaders within the tyre industry addressing the importance of proper tyre care, especially if one is embarking on a long trip in December.
The Transport Month event will bring awareness to other safety issues that drivers should keep in mind as they head into a notoriously dangerous time on the roads. There can be no greater achievement this Transport Month than to motivate drivers to take road safety even more seriously.
