Following up on the recent correspondence wherein we advised you that the RMI will make a submission to The Department of Employment and Labour (DoEL) by 26 February 2021, in aid of establishing a forum where it can engage with the DoEL regarding process to be followed in identifying and adopting employment equity targets, I am pleased to confirm that the RMI has made a submission to the DoEL on 26 February 2021 which contained a proposed process of engagement. The RMI has received a response yesterday 03 March 2021 from the DoEL acknowledging receipt of the submission and undertaking to revert back to the RMI in due course in order to expedite the consultation process.
We hereby attach the correspondence that the RMI has submitted to the DoEL for your information (below).
